Info on how to overclock this card....detailed, very new to this, just experimenting on this comp as planning on replacing in near future.

Comp Specs:

Intel P4 H-T (FSB800)...info on how to overclock aswel desired.
1024MB DDR (512MBx2)
250GB HDD
GeForce FX5700 256MB

Overclock that old piece of junk? lol for what?

Old technology had major problems overclocking, and the FX series was a horrible horrible chipset from NVIDIA.

If you even try to overclock any of those parts, theres a high chance of one of the components failing.

What kind of power supply do you have? If it's a no name piece of junk, overclocking might be out of the question (it could make your power supply literally explode).

Place Hamster wheel on top of CPU.... Add hamster

On the serious side does your Bios allow you to whack up the FSB? if it does whack it up. Dont think you can increase multiplier so thats out.

The GPU no idea google if theres any OC software for it

I think im just gonna leave it, my brothers pc and i was hoping to extend its life a bit for him....but its has i feared...it o so old tech....thanks for the info though
