Please let me know if you see any issues I may have with this build. I'm looking to over clock to 4.0ghz. I have dvd/cd drives already and a storage drive. I have a max budget of 3k. Here is what I got.

1 COOLER MASTER ATCS 840 RC-840-KKN1-GP Black Aluminum ATX Full Tower Computer Case $199.99

1 Western Digital Caviar Black WD6401AALS 640GB 7200 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive $74.99

1 ASUS VW246H Black 24" 2ms(GTG) HDMI Widescreen LCD Monitor $219.99

1 COOLER MASTER Silent Pro RSA00-AMBAJ3-US 1000W $179.99

1 Tuniq TX-3 Extreme Performance and Exceptional Reliability Thermal Compound $10.99

1 Kingston HyperX 6GB (3 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 2000 $172.49

3 Scythe SY1225SL12SH 120mm "Slipstream" Case Fan $26.94

1 Swiftech H20-220 Apex Ultima Extreme Duty CPU liquid cooling kit $229.19

1 Combo Microsoft Windows 7 Professional 64-bit
Western Digital Caviar Black WD6401AALS 640GB 7200 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive $204.98

1 Combo Intel Core i7-920 Bloomfield 2.66GHz LGA 1366
GIGABYTE GA-EX58-UD3R LGA 1366 Intel X58 ATX $457.98

Total with shipping is $1833.88

How did I do? Will I reach 4.0ghz on this board mem set up?

2 5870 for 780.00
New total 2613.88

Keep the ram, Higher frequencies compensate for higher cas latencies so you are fine. And you are crazy 1000 watt. An 850watt would be overkill for you.
-And you are crossfireing one of the two most powerful gaming GPU's currently available for a 24'' monitor?....Either get a bigger monitor or just get one card because those cards won't even use 10%(exageration) of thier power for that monitor assuming it has a standard 1920x1200 resolution. And for a 3k budget you can get an SSD for your OS/Games and a 1TB hard drive or however much you need for storage.

Oh yeah I want to add two 5870s for like 780.00 but of course they are out of stock

Unless you really like the looks of that case, there are cheaper one's out there with a lot of room and great cooling, such as the HAF 922 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6811119197

You should get RAM with lower timings such as this Mushkin Enhanced Blackline 6GB CL7 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6820226030

The PSU is excessive, an 850W will be more than enough http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6817139009

By the way, 2x 5870's is overkill for that monitor. If you're dead set on getting 2, get one for now as it will be more than enough to handle any game out there. Get the 2nd one when prices drop a bit.

Spend at least 400 dollars on watercooling or else it's pointless with a cheap kit. If you are going to only spend around 200 for watercooling, just get the prolimatech heatsink instead, the cpu temperature would be around the same.

27 inch with what resolution?

using 2x5870 is for 2560x1600 which is a 30 inch monitor. anything lower is overkill.
