More about upgrading homebuilt advice please
  1. My quick recommendation for upgrades are to buy the Samsung Spinpoint F3 500GB hard drive and add a second 4870. This will give you the best upgrade at you budget.

A SSD or CPU will take up your whole budget to make an upgrade worth it, where the F3 and 4870 will give you a good boost in your PC performance.
  2. Cool I will look into that. When going crossfire does it matter who makes the card..would it work If i paired a cheaper HIS or Powercooler with the Diamond that I have in there now?
  3. Yes, you'll be okay Crossfiring with different makers of the 4870.
