New mobo keyboard wont work

hello,i just bought a nforce 750i sli mcp mobo and a core 2 quad, i installed them, turned my pc on, it goes to a screen that says press delete to enter setup and esc to enter boot menu. i've tried 4 different keyboards none of them will work, 2 usb and 2 ps2. when the pc starts up and before it shows the screen the lights on the keyboard flash but it will not work, i cant hit del to enter setup.

Well, it's probably the motherboard... have you tried all the different USB/PS2 ports available?

yes, i've tried all of them, i thought it was the mobo also, but on startup the lights flash so i'm not sure, new mobo with the same hard drive i was using before
