Moving a SSD to a new computer

Hi,
I have been using an Intel 510 SSD in a desktop computer and now want to move the SSD to a newly purchased desktop computer. Do I just follow the same Intel installation procedure on the new desktop or do I need to format or some other way delete the information already on the SSD?

If it's a completely different mobo, you have a lot of chance you have to reinstall windows,

I realize that I can't use the Windows 7 already on the SSD, but when I use the Intel procedure to move what is on the new desktop's c: drive to the SSD, do I need to erase the old date first?
