I'm looking to upgrade to Windows 7 64-bit in the next few months and am looking for a quiet card. Ideally it would a fanless graphics card with dual DVI used mostly for displaying desktop apps like Visual Studio, Office, Firefox, etc. The card would not be used for games.
Currently I'm using a NVIDI 6600 card with a fan and the thing is driving me crazy because of the amount of noise that the fan produces. My main card for a while was a NVIDIA 9600 GT, but it was even louder, hence the downgrade. The 6600 works great on Vista 32-bit, but only has one DVI ouput.
Comparable to an 8500GT, 9400GT, etc. It has native HDMI with one DVI port and D-SUB port that can be converted to DVI via cheap adapter (if it doesn't already come with it/you already have one). Also, it's cheap, completely silent, and low profile.

You can install the Artic Cooling Accelero S2 on your 9600GT if you want to keep your current card. I have a 9600GT with a factory installed Accelero S2. The only problem is that the heatsink extend about 1.5"-2" taller than the video card so it may not fit in your case. It is a little cheaper than buying a new card @ $23.
