M4A78-E Owners - BIOS Update

When ASUS announced that all of their M4 series motherboards are going to be compatible with the new Phenom II X6's. However since then there has not been a bios update, though there exists a newer BIOS (4/20/2010) on their FTP site.

make sure what board you have is the M4A78-E not the M4A78T-E

btw, i would like to say i did install it on the board (though i don't have an X6) and it works fine

Will find out later tonight, as with 1803 it will not even post with the x6 installed, no beeps just powers on ansits there. I will let you know how it goes.

good to know, i was going to buy one and install it (with the 1803 BIOS) and hope for the best

i would be awesome to know if it works

2505 works like a charm with the x6.... boots up no issues, OC time...

UPDATE: i guess i found the BIOS a day early, its on the download site now (though you can still use the FTP so you don't have to navigate through the site)
