Is this a gaming build or a professional use one?

If it's for professional use, it looks great (altough cooling two 4890's is a though job).

For gaming, an intel i5-750 offers the same (in many benches better) performance at a lower cost and 4GB of RAM is much more than needed. This way, you save some money you could use to get dual 5850's, which will offer a noticeable improvement in performance, DirectX11, less heat and less power consumption.

As said above, look at the Samsung Spinpoint F3. A better HDD at a lower cost.

Just a couple of suggestions you might want to debate:
■Replace the Crossfired 4890 by a 5870, it should perform about equally, but you would probably get lower power consumption, DX11 and the possibility to add a 2nd card.
■For gaming, you could probably get equivalent performance for lower cost by getting LGA1156 system, but you would loose upgradability to i9 and also be a bit more limited on the memory.
■If you go with the LGA1156, you can put the money saved toward an Intel X25-M G2 80GB as your OS and app drive to increase system snappiness.

Simple suggestions, if they are stupid, tell me constructively so I can lean :).

I didn't really need 12Gb of RAM, but I looked at it this way... why not? (the RAM wasn't overly expensive)
the GPU is now deactivated, I ordered it about a week before they turned them off.

the rig is actually pretty quiet, I barely notice it at all during games or movies and it doesn't keep me up at night either.
I decided to go with the i7 1366 socket since I wanted something I could modify and upgrade easily in the future (I'm pretty sure that 1366 socket will be around longer than 1156)

My next upgrades will be a OS/program HD (either a velociraptor or SSD) and crossfired 5870 vapor-x editions from sapphire when they come out.

I wasn't trying to be super budget with this rig, more so going for a bang for the buck. Something powerful without spending too too much.

Thanks for the comments and suggestions.
