I'd like to overclock my CPU as processing speed is the limiting factor of my ability to play games like BF3 and SC2
My bios doesn't let me overclock since the computer's premade. I've decided using CPU OC software is less dangerous than trying to install a new BIOS.

here are my system specs

Operating System
MS Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit SP1
CPU
AMD Athlon 64 X2 3800+ 45 °C
Toledo 90nm Technology
RAM
3.00 GB Dual-Channel DDR @ 200MHz (3-4-4-8)
Motherboard
ASUSTek Computer INC. NAGAMI2 (Socket 939) 40 °C
Graphics
HP w19 (1440x900@60Hz)
ATI Radeon HD 5570 (XFX Pine Group) 34 °C
Hard Drives
9.96GB QUANTUM FIREBALLP LM10.2 ATA Device (PATA)
244GB Western Digital WDC WD25 00JS-60NCB1 SCSI Disk Device (ATA)
Optical Drives
NEC DVD_RW ND-2510A ATA Device
Audio
Realtek High Definition Audio

Whats the best CPU OC software I should use? preferably one that doesn't require a PLL

If you're looking to play games like BF3, that system isn't gonna cut it really either way

Your best option here is buying a cheap compatible quad and a decent gaming video card. The 5570 will give you poor performance

Since you have an amd chip, try AMD overdrive. But a dual core cpu won't do BF3 online.

Just as big of a problem tho is the 5570, that card is barely capable of playing on low settings.
