ATI Radeon 9700 Pro G4MDDD(FW800)1.42ghzx2

I just bought a G4MDDFW800 MAC from a guy on eBay that did video processing. It came with a Geo2MX32MDvram that works in it. Also included was a much nicer ATI Radeon 9700 Pro128vram that he said he used with it. I find it (W/9700)boots alright running Tiger, but these columns of barcode like things appear on the desktop making it unusable. I have reseated and fooled around with it 10 times or so, no luck. Can anyone help me - the guy said good luck. Checked, no capacitors looked blown and fan on it works. Tried to download drivers, didn't help - maybe I need some catalyst or something. Hard to get old catalyst/drivers, any links to right one appreciated. The card fan works alright. ATI on fan only identification on it, Apple System Profiler identified it as ATI Radeon 9700 Pro. Help!!!

I will take a pic soon(have the good 32MBvram Geoforce2MX in it now). Any idea what is causing the artifacting?

I think that ATI video card he gave you is semi dead. Try baking it as it might revive it. Ask the other member on how to do it.

Not sure I can do much about heat or power. The fan on it works and There was a 90mm case fan stuck next to it blowing on the back of the ATI.
No place for more power plugs on it, the only jack has the built in fan plugged in it. Hope I get it working, guy on e-Bay is trying to sell one for $200!
Is it true about baking it and how do you do that?
