I was just wondering why did my hd5770 crossfired get a rating of 5.9 on windows 7 rating while my friends hd 5870 got a perfect 7.9? is there something wrong with my gpu or just windows 7?

that does sound low, but sounds about right for a single card. Make sure you have crossfire enabled . Also check your bridge to make sure it is well seated. Your two 5770s will not outperform a 5870, so don't expect the same score.

I think its something with the WIE. My graphics scores with one 4890 were 7.3. And whe i added the second 4890 in xfire it dropped it to 6.0.

He's right. It doesn't seem to recognize many of the multi gpu setups. (depending on chip I'm guessing)

One major problem the windows program has is that it will not kick your video cards out of power saving mode. So instead of having your normal core and memory clock settings that you normally get in a video game, you are running at 1/4 the normal clock settings.

Forget the index, it will not work on any of ATI's energy saving cards.

just forget WEI. if you want to know your graphic card true potential it is better to use proper benchmark softwares. in WEI even my single 9600GSO can get 6.7 :D
