OS Problems

Hello, i have this old tower that didnt work for ages
so we, bought a new: Motherboard and Power supply and it worked, but the new motherboard only had 1 ide slot, so we found out how to put our old HDD and old ODD on 1 ide cable. On the BIOS its say there is a HDD and ODD .

But the problem is that when i put in our XP Pro
disc, only the motherboard menu comes up and no OS wizard comes up at all.

Please could someone help!

Where is the ODD in the boot sequence ?


PCI/PCI-E IDE cards sell for about $10-20. Maybe put the ODD on one. ?
