How to install evga x58 classified into antec 1200

was woundering does the motherboard need the red washers between the screw and motherboard or the between the motherboard and standoff(brass spacer) or are they needed at all??

I placed my red washers between the screw and motherboard. I've heard they aren't required, so I won't worry about installing them.
