Case Fans = No Power

When I plug in my 4 pin power fan header to the motherboard my computer receives no power, when I unplug it then it works fine. Thoughts?

you have a cpu fan 4 pin hearder, and sys fan 4 pin header...are you sure the cpu and the 4 pin header are in the correct places....
also...are you sure the black wire is oriented to pin 1 on the fan header..that is the ground
