If you could edit it into that format it would help significantly. How much do you use autocad and inventor? If you only use them once a week then its less of a determining factor than if you use it on a daily basis.

I am thinking about getting a custom computer made. I don't game at all but I need a computer for school. I am going to school for computer aided drafting and design. I used Auto Cad and Inventor, other then that all i use my computer for is surfing the internet and listening to songs. I am not sure what is required for programs like auto cad and inventor. I have never built a computer myself and am not sure what I need. If anybody can help it would be greatly appreciated. I want to have 8 gb ram, minimum of 2 monitors (preferably 3 or 4), windows 7, lots of usb ports, wireless internet, hdmi (optional.

What is your budget? You are probably looking at around $2000 for a Core i7 system with two Radeon HD 5850 video cards and 2+ monitors. The AutoCad and Inventor are demanding programs, especially if you will be running several large high-res monitors.

never mind look into this

Monitors at your discretion You'll need optical drives and cooling but this is the kind of hardware you might need. You'll need two orders of the ram and two of the video cards.

Two 5850's? A 5770? Certainly not. Those are consumer cards. The OP needs something more like this:

But a budget would be nice.
