File wont open

I have a file that I BELIEVE are pictures but when I try to open them, they have no file association and only tell me that they are file type file.

I have a file that I BELIEVE are pictures but when I try to open them, they have no file association and only tell me that they are file type file.

File Type: File - Is a generic Windows assigned extension for files that do not have a valid file extension. it is an unknown file type and no associated program will automatically open it. You may try opening a ".file" file by dragging it to applications that you think may open it. If the file is formatted as a text file, you can at least view the contents of the file by opening it in a text editor.
