Do I need a discrete graphics card?

OK I'm buying a new laptop,I've never had one before but use my friends a lot. I would use it for most of the casual things email, homework, web surfing etc. Anyways I would also use it to make videos like highlight films for football or snowboarding. I use a program called U lead and it's very good I was wondering should I stick with integrated graphics or get a discrete. I want my videos the best quality I can get but do I really need a discrete graphics card I mean I'm getting 4gb memory and 500gb hard drive with a
Intel® Core™2 Duo Processor T6600 (2.20GHz, 2MB L2, 800MHz FSB). So do I really need a discrete card. I wont be doing really extreme game just like regular ones you may see on face book, but please help me with this because I don't want to go bankrupt with all this even if you think I could get a 400gb hard drive or 3gb memory please help me pick.
