Ok, my setup is:
core2duo E8400
4gb ram ddr2 400mhz
260 gtx oc BFG
classic motherboard(doesnt allow to overclock)

and was thinking to move to:

core i5(overclocked to 3.5 ghz)
4gb ram ddr3 dual channel 1033 mhz
msi motherboard with oc genie
5850 ati video card

After reading on this forum and researching, found thats its not worth it yet, i should wait for another 2 years at least. since my current system is able to handle any game right now.

So i think that i should reduce the power consumption of my pc, by selling my 260gtx and ocz stealthxstream 700w power supply and buy:

5770/5850 ati video card
silverstone st70f modular 80 plus(for incoming build in 2 years+)

Just not sure which videocard will not bottleneck, i dont wanna have any problems at playing any game referring to the grapchics card.

thanks!

If you are playing at a high resolution (1920x1080 or 1200) the HD5850 might be a useful upgrade, otherwise, stick with what you have, the power savings are not worth the heavy investment.
