Starting to OC Video card...

Hi all, I have an ASUS ENGTX560 DC/2DI/1GD5 GeForce GTX 560 and was wanting to know really 2 things. 1, where to start with the overclocking, and 2, what exactly do I need to be looking at to recognize a problem hopefully before crashing.

I appreciate your time with someone new to overclocking.

well you could use the software asus has provided or afterburn its all up to you what you would like to use ..... as for recognizing the problem early well there's a bit you should look out for some are flicking ,dots flashing, colors that shouldnt be there , and the list gos on i advice you use OCCT to stress the gpu as that prog. records error so even thou you mite have missed it you could still see in the corner of the screen how many errors it has detected
