Will a dual core socket m processor work in a socket 478

I have a dead laptop with a Dual Core Pentium T2060 processor. My other laptop is an older Dell Inspiron with a Mobile Pentium M 740 proc (socket 478). Can I move the T2060 to the Dell socket 478 MB?

Details:
T2060 taken from Gateway NX570X
Socket 478 MB in Dell Inspiron 9300

I know it should fit, but I don't know if electronically it will boot. I'd rather not fry it (or the MB).

no it won't they are different sockets and you will fry the mobo or the CPU or even both
