Quick comments...For gaming I will mostly play COD, RE5, Far cry 2, and the games I am waiting for are Starcraft 2 and Diablo 3, not exactly games that really require alot. Now later down the line I can always crossfire another HD 5770 for more performance if I need it. My issue is bearing that I only will play these games and mostly watch movies or connect my 360, will be doing no editing, graphic design or anything, should I change cpus to save money? (Perhaps a AMD Phenom II X3?,). If i could bring it down to 800-900 that would be unbelievable.(also why I am willing to wait to black friday). Any adjustments that you would make is greatly appreciative!

Here's a build, I've done for another person. Use it as a reference.

Also, I suggest you to wait till black friday and cyber monday, because you can save some money...

I only used newegg, but you can use other sites if you can find the same parts for cheaper.
Or if you can find better combos at newegg

Here's an i5 750 build with new monitor

>MOBO+RAM
30 dollar discount

>Power Supply

Total: $1,288.88 Before Rebate

This build gives you the ability to crossfire/sli in the future if new games are more demanding. You could add in another graphics card, the power supply is decent and could handle 2 graphics card.

our monitors are the same...lol, actually a lot of stuff are same like mobo+ram lol..
delete the hdd i suggested since you already have one.

where's your power supply?

I was wondering whether I should wait till black friday to make a move or will specials on that day actually make a difference. I also dont have a heatsink as I was planning to get one on christmas and since I am using a HD 5770 i dont think it will be a problem.

Welcome Ironman01 your build looks very solid and will meet your needs just fine. I don't think you are going to be able to cut the costs much further without sacrificing performance. Just shop around everywhere or wait until prices fall if you really need to get the price down.

I could purchase it right now, this is actually my first build ever. The only thing that worries me about purchasing right now is if there will be like crazy deals on black friday/cyber monday. I have never purchased computer parts online so I wouldn't know. I would hate to make the purchase right now and realize I could of saved 100 dollars if i waited another 2 weeks. Do you know if newegg has killer deals around that time ?

Do you have an os

Yeah lol, i have a student windows 7 i got it for free from school. Do you know if its worth waiting till black friday/cybermonday for newegg? Or if I should down grade to a AMD Phenom II X3 720 2.8GHz considering I only watch movies and play games that don't really require alot to save money?

Reply to Ironman01

Oh sorry I am tired and I read over it lol, but I have a 720 and once u oc it past 3.3 or 3.4 you don't really don't see any frame differences

Reply to wsupduck

Once you get past 3.2 or 3.3 I don't see any differences in far cry maxed out with that CPU and an xfx 4870

Yes you could probably save a few bucks by waiting.

Really that is pretty much always the case. No matter the date or the time of year you can rest assured that as soon as you buy your system the price will drop soon after. That's just the way it works. But you gotta buy sometime!

Absolutely lol, I mean I keep flirting with just ordering it now, but the fact that black friday is 2 weeks away....the thought that I could of saved money or possibly gotten more for my money would kill me. Cuz 100 dollars off what i currently have is either 100dollars saved or a 5850 upgrade though i really dont need its perfomance that much considering the games I will be playing/waiting for lol

I did see your post, I responded to your post above, the only real difference is that you have a 5850 while I have the 5770(of which considering the games Im waiting to play Diablo 3 and Starcraft 2, I dont need the 5850, and if a game came out that needed more performance that I for some reason loved, i could crossfire later on), the PSU of which I have a Antec 750 Truepower in one of the combos instead of the cosair, and the cooler of which i figure ill wait till christmas to buy since the 5770 wont do much damage in a haf 922.

I actually want to order it alrdy, but i know the best thing is to wait, if i can save enough money on black friday, i mean if I save 100 dollars that means I can get the build I want for 900, or get a 5850 and still not pass my 1k limit.

I have another question:

i know I am being suggested to wait till black Friday to make the purchase, and I know for certain that there are certain things I can definitely get cheaper, like the burner, possibly the case, etc..

But should I take advantage of any of the above combos that are available right now ?

Like for example the graphic card combo with the PSU Antec Trupower 750W
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Comb [...] mbo.274502
(The reason I am interested in 750W is to be able to crossfire later on or upgrade my GPU later on if I wanted to)
The combo is reducing the price by $40 dollars, which makes getting this PSU cheaper than a 650W Antec Earthwatts PSU

Should I be taking advantage of that? Or should I still wait for blackfriday/cyber monday, like I have said I have never shopped for computer parts so I dont know whether to expect large or minimal discounts like 10$ discounts..

There is also the Ram/MOBO discount above for the UD4P and the G.Skill cas 7 ram
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Comb [...] mbo.289943
The combo reduces the price by $30 dollars...

So both combos are pretty good discounts right now, should I take advantage now or should I assume that these blackfriday/cybermonday deals will warrant the wait and that the discounts should be even cheaper? Anyone with experience shopping on those days to have an opinion as well ? Thanks in advance !

Core i5 750 Processor
http://micro-center.com/single_pro [...] id=0317379 Price 149.99

Comes out to about 1K.

About to put the order in today....but hesitating on the black friday around the corner business....

BUT these combos are saving me $30, $40, and $28 dollars adding up to $98 dollars.... seems to good to let go

Anyone with black friday newegg experience that can tell me if the specials are really worth waiting for given the money saved with these combos before they expire??

Taken into consideration that the economy of the US will be uplifted a bit, because of the upcoming Black Friday, Cyber Monday, Christmas which will boost up the market a bit. This is anticipated by everyone, meaning that most likely a lot of items will be on sale, and a lot of discounts to make people want to spend money; thus helping the economy.

I suggest you to buy everything on blackfriday and cyber monday.
One disadvantage is that, the availability of the items will be gone quickly, so order it fast.
Having said that, this is all based on opinion and my research.
