260GTX Not Booting Up Without Windows Disc

Hi all:
I just installed my newly purchased 260GTX. Installation went smoothly without problems. When I turned my computer on after install it won't boot up pass the logo. The only way I could get my computer to boot up is to insert my windows installation disc. Any ideas??

Specs:
XP Pro
AMD 64 x2 6400+
Asus M2N32-SLI board

And after booting into Windows with the disc, does everything run as normal, including 3D performance?

First I thought your PSU wasn't enough to power the GTX 260 but if things are fine....?

I had a similar problem with xp when it couldn't find NTLDR (easily fixed).

Does your bios screen say anything is missing before the windows logo?

Everything else is normal after booting into windows.......

It did say something not loading/missing but only showed once and never showed again..........
