Dual Channel memory (first slot) Clearance OCK CLP-0575 Thermaltake

What would would you recommend for 4 slots Dual Channel Memory? I was told at the store that the second and forth slot would work. A second pair low profile same or similar brand quality for 8 GB sticks and not 2- 4GB sticks. :sarcastic: :ouch: :bounce:

  1. Are the spacers for the mounting going to help? or is the only low profile memory the only thing, or is the heat sink just to big for the board?
  2. If you are looking for just some basic memory, the Corsair Vengeance LP fits under most heatsinks.

They come in 8GB(2 sticks) and 16GB(4 sticks) kits.

Please check your motherboard QVL for memory. sometimes you will be unlucky enough to have memory not work because of incompatibility so it is always best to check the list.

Basically anything without large heatsinks should fit.
  3. well the measurements for the Thermaltake Heat say 32.6mm and the high profile ones memory say 44mm tall.
  4. From this review, any memory without tall heatsinks should fit. So normal vengeance is a no go you need the low profile stuff.

Would the photo suggest that you can use the second and fourth slot with the tall Corsair Memory sticks?
  6. Last 2 maybe 3 slots depending on the board.
