how high do mATX power supplies run in watts

I'm not sure what you are actually asking, mostly becaise many microATX cases use full ATX PSUs. There is no difference from an electrical standpoint, it's just size and mounting holes.

The highest wattage I found on newegg was this 550W:

But really, at that price you would be better off getting a new case and a better PSU such as the OCZ 500W SXS

Yeah, if you can try and buy a mATX case that can use a standard ATX PSU.

Here's an example:

On the other hand if you already have a mATX case, then your hands are tied...
