Hi

I started to build a new pc today, I'm in the bios at this point and everything seems good so far, booted up np. My memory however is not running at specs. I'm using PGS34G1600ELK memory, core i5 750, and p55m-ud4(bios version f3). The memory should be running at 1600mhz at 9-9-9-24 timming but is running 1066mhz at 7-7-7-20. How would I go about fixing this?

This is only my second build so I'm kind of a noob, thanks for any help.

Memory frequency is not very important to performance, but latency is. It's quite possible your memory is running faster at 1066, because of the timings.

Your memory is linked to your CPU Host frequency... the base speed of the CPU. To that a multiplier is applied. This may be called System Memory Multiplier.
