I'm having some interesting issues with my Catalyst drivers. I recently had to roll back from the 9.10 drivers to the 9.8's due to some other driver issues and it solved my problem.
Now my 9.8 drivers are being rolled back to 9.7 on their own. It's only been happening since i upgraded to Windows 7 premium x64 from Vista 64. Does anyone know a solution to keep my drivers from switching to an older version?
you have to uninstall them from the device manager, and delete the software also. Also delete the ati install manager under the unininstall programs.then install your new driver update!
Then you would have to install any other drivers 'over the top' as it where, I think (am pretty sure) that the old VGA driver is gone and that is the only 'basic' or 'default' driver that W7 has for ATi cards.
So you're saying that I should leave the 9.7s alone and just install newer ones correct? Wouldn't that make some kind of stability or compatibility issue?
