1055T acting funny on me

I've been running my Phenom II 1055T for some time now at a stable 3.85 GHz but have recently installed an HD 7950 and have not witnessed the performance that I'd expect out of it. All my friends' stock GTX 580s eat this game, without any OC either. Playing Battlefield 3, I'm able to max out all settings with 4xMSAA and run about 30-50 FPS average, whereas they are looking at 45-65. I have no stuttering or lag problems, just not optimal FPS. Latest drivers installed.

Strange things happened when I reset my BIOS settings and returned my 1055T to its native 2.8 GHz, my FPS went up by 5-10 at the very least. Now, this still isn't exactly comparable to 580 performance in BF3, but why am I getting more FPS?

Here is my setup in case you guys were wondering...

Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD3 Mobo
AMD Phenom II X6 1055T
Sapphire 7950 OC
Mushkin Enhanced Silverline Stiletto 2x4 (8GB) 1333MHz DDR3 RAM
Corsair HX850W PSU
Crucial M4 SSD

Also a side question, is the PciE 2.0 fully saturated by this card (which is 3.0?), or do I have nothing to worry about here...

This sounds like a REVERSE bottleneck which doesn't make sense. Are you completely SURE this is the case? I mean sorry but it sounds really funky. I would do a stability test on the specs you feel comftorable at playing games with. See if it's error free and post it so we know what exactly (if anything) is @ fault. P.S. I am wondering why everything u have is nice, but u said F UUU to your RAM. Why? 1333?

No errors, no BSODs, no hangs, just pure, unadultered overclock power.

As for the RAM... LOL! It was on sale for 31.99, I couldn't pass it up! Had 4GB previously and almost a completely different setup, the only thing that I passed on to my new system was the CPU and SSD. What RAM would you recommend? My board supports up to 2xxx (lowest 2000's mhz).

I'm starting to feel as if its Battlefield more than anything. Every benchmark I do is indicative of excellent performance, even Furmark. I was able to OC my 7950 to 1100mhz from 900mhz, bringing my 1080p bench to over 3,400 from stock 2,345. It performs well with other games.
