^ Hi...Your build is good but I feel you are spending more on some components...

1. Check out the Antec 300/ Antec 200 case...would offer good airflow and would be cheaper too...
2. Go for a non-modular PSU as that would save some money, like Corsair 550VX/ Antec EA 500
3. Now with the money saved, invest in better graphics card like the 4870/ maybe 5770 if available...

And as for the concern over the power requirements, a Corsair 400CX has enough power to run your setup...So like I said a high quality 500W will have enough power to run that setup, even with a HD 4890.

hmm thanks for the advice! and there are no other corsair PSU available here that are non modular, so my only option is the 520, but when i used the extreme overclock calc, and set the CPU utilization, capacitor aging and system load to the max and using a 4850 gpu, it comes out at about 510 watts so i'm wary about having a 520.

i am also considering the 5750 card but leaning more on the 4850 card because the higher end card are way expensive here in my country.

what powersupply would be able to handle a 5770?

^ Which PSU calc did you use and what settings did you select for capacitor aging ?
I dont think it would come to 510W...
And what are the other PSU options that you have?
For the 5770, the Corsair 400CX can run it without any issues...I think you are selecting a wrong value when calculating the system power requirements...

i used the extreme power supply calculator, most of the PSU available here are brands not heard of in the US market like HEC. So i opted for the corsair because i got good reviews and i used one on helping my friend build his Computer.

I set the capacitor aging to the max which i think is 50% because i plan to use this computer for about 4-5 years.

If i used the antec case and even if the cm690, i would put about 3-4 fans because it is relatively hot here in my country so another component that added to the power load are the fans.

could you try to calculate the power requirements for me? and also if getting a 520 would be enough, thanks for your time in responding to my long questions hehehe

^ Am pretty sure that the Corsair 520 can easily handle any single chip graphic card out there upto GTX 285...It can even power the 4850X2...
And generally set the capacitor aging to around 25%. You wouldn't be gaming all the time would you ? Set it to more only when you plan to game non-stop for say continuous 14-16hrs a day... ;)

hmmm thanks hehe one last question, if i used the psu for around 3-4 years and play for about 1-2 hrs per day, would i still set it at around 25%?

Reply to Den807

^ Those PSUs have a warranty of 5 yrs...So they would easily last that long and actually it would be less than 25%...Just on the safer side we put 25%...
Those PSU can easily last 5+ years(Obviously under normal load)...

last question hahaha would that power supply be able to handle a 5770 if i chose to use a 5770 vid card? and what brand would be recommended for GPU?

Reply to Den807

Yes a corsair 520 can handle a 5770. All of the 5770 brands are exactly same same, right now, since they are reference designs. I would only recommend a XFX since it has a double lifetime warranty.

^+1...
And as for that PSU, you can run 5770 crossfire with that PSU... ;)
