Why would you do this in a 3- way sli

i had just seen this in a mag so why would you put 2 gtx 295 then a gts 250 why just use 3 295 is there something to this?????

the GTS 250 is probably there for physx only. that would be the most logical use of it though its a waste as dual 295's can handle physx without the help of that crummy card.

and you can't 3-way sli GTX295's, since each GTX295 has 2 gpu's and you can only have 4 gpus max (not cards)

LOL that is to test the psu and they are not in sli the middle card is there to load the psu. Only two cards are even linked since each one is a dual gpu making quad sli while the third card is useless unless you are running fold & home.
