my issue seems to always be with me is that no matter what motherboard I have in my Built PC any usb device that touches the USB ports after my PC has been on for a while makes my system reboot, and Im not sure if there is a serge problem with this issue or improper grounding issue?
If they work fine after the initial power up, then you have static building up. Are the USB ports properly connected to the motherboard, including ground wires (if all wires are separate)? Did you add fans to your case and what case do you have?
I have teh Antec 902 currently, and Im using a GIGABYTE GA-MA790X-UD4P motherboard, and yes, its 1 piece USB connector, and far as fans goes, I have the stock 2 120MM font, and 1 in back , plus a 200Mm on top, than I added a 120mm on teh side panel, witch the whole system is being powered by a 1000W PSU
not when I remove items, so much as just touching the usb devices from the front as jump drivs, or PC controlers, or my zune sync cable, it just like reboots, or malfunctions, I havnt found a solution yet to reduce this problem of static buildup, but Im beginning to think its related to that, cuz I never had the issue till I moved into this place
It also could be a short in the usb ports, one of my front usb ports on my nzxt apollo used to restart my system when slightly bumped. Nzxt actually sent me new usb ports that could replace the old under the front of the case and works fine now.
yeahhh with me, tho its teh same case my friend used of the Antec 902 adn he had no isues, so its related to this place, or how I have my tower off the floor, or how Im always staticly charged in this place, my previous homw far far away I never ran into this problem... so its me thats gotta stay static free, or find a way to betterly ground teh tower how its setup all thothe rest of the tower isnt suffering from static build up like how usb ports on front are sensative with me... but appreciate any input and thoughts on a solution to this problem
