Sata drivers for XP

Hello,

I am trying to recover a XP Pro installation. I have 2 Seagate SATA drives connected to a Sil 3114, on a ASUS K8N-e Deluxe, is there a way to create a driver disk so XP will recognize the drive? I would appreciate any suggestions.

Thanks in advance

More about sata drivers
  1. if the two drives are NOT in a RAID configuration use the IDE drivers

    http://support.asus.com/Download.aspx?SLanguage=en&m=K8N-E+Deluxe&p=1&s=20
  2. I changed the bios to SATA instead of raid and XP still did not find them
  3. if the drives were configured as a RAID the BIOS settings needs to stay RAID and you need to download the RAID drivers from the ASUS website
  4. Reset the bios downloaded 1.0.0.7 from Asus, extracted the files and copied to a floppy. Win does not appear to see the files. Get msg "...no mass storage devices..."
Does the floppy need to be formated as 720k? Or am I missing something else?
  5. Emerald,

Thanks for the help, downloaded the files again and it solved he problem. Apparently my FDD was bad, replaced it then Windows recovery could see them.

    Again thanks
