I want to upgrade my compaq Presario C500

Hello,
I bought compaq presario C500 in 2006, its RAM is 248 MB, Intel (R) celeron (R) M CPU 440 @ 1.86 GHz.I want to upgrade it now i.e 1GB RAM, is it possible? How do i find whether my RAM is DDR1 or DDR2. Please do help me out with this... Thank You...!

Compaq c500 has a recommended max of 2GB
1GB in each slot..........but
i have 1GB in one slot & 2GB in the other maxxing out at 3GB
Memory type is DDR2 667MHZ SODIMM 200 pin
