Hi.

I see that there are quite a few options for automatically overclocking your CPU with a toggle switch on the motherboard, but are there any options for toggling a manual overclock without opening the case or going into the BIOS?

ASUS boards have their O.C profiles, so ideally I would like a board/mod/solution for being able to change between two of these (or one and default), with just the press of a button.

I understand that this might not even be necessary now, with Intel options like C1E, but I would still rather just have a straight forward on/off solution.

Any body have any ideas for this?

Actually, there aren't. Most overclocking nowadays is done either through the BIOS or a Windows based OC utility.

I use Intel CPU's and I have SpeedStep enabled on all four of my OC'd systems. The CPU's just loaf along during light loads and seamlessly jump to full speed when the CPU load increases.

A manually controlled switch on a motherboard just introduces unnecessary complexity.
