How do i make like a total re-install cd

hi i was wanting to re-install windows from scratch do all the updates and a few programs and copy it onto a bluray. is it possable to do something like this and iff pc crashes just load the bluray in and format the hard drive and take the bluray and copy it back to the hard drive. is this possable? if so how do i go about doing it (no worries about space i only use 20gb or less on my boot drive)
