LGA 1366 Mobo recomendation?

Picking up the I7980x, as well as one(+ anouther in a few months) HD 5970's, but i cannot decide on a good board that will fit both of these monster cards, as well as extra fan cooling on the cpu/gpu's. Suggestions?

Thanks in advance

1- What budget do u have for the mobo?, a good option today is the ASUS P6X58D-E
2- For CPU cooler u can go with the Hyper 212+ that is very good in price/performance, with the NH-D14, Titan Fenrir or Thermalright Venomous X.
  2. Well, 300ish is what i got budgeted for the mobo, dont want an insanely expensive mobo with 1 or 2 more little bonus features over the much lower priced platform.

That mobo has some good reviews on it, would you happen to know if theres enough spacing to fit 2x 5970's with additional GPU cooling involved?

That NH-D14 is a massive heatsink from what im reading, and i dont want to block any ram slots for it, But the Hyper 212+ seems to have some noise issues? I was considering a Dark Knight-S1283V

Main thing im searching for is being able to fit 2x 5970s with some extra cooling for some OC on them, and upgraded cpu cooler that wont block ram slots. Hard thing to find? :o
  3. 300ish? in dollars how much is it?, sorry but I'm not from the US.

I have a Hyper 212+ is very good and don't have any noise problem. The dark Knight seems good, but for $20 more u can get this Prolimatech Megahalems that it's a killer cooler.

Remember that the cooling also depends of ur case, so, u need a good case with a good air flow for the best results.
  4. Thanks for all the info! 300ish US euro?
  5. Well, the ASUS is the best mobo that u can get for the money. Have the features that u need for the Crossfire and OC that u want.
  6. Thanks for your time and input saint
