Trying to Pick AMD Motherboard

Hi,

I am currently planning a gaming computer build, with AMD/ATI parts.
I wanted to post here and see what motherboards people would recommend. I've never purchased a motherboard before, so I'm somewhat new to this, but I want a board that will be as future-proof as possible.
It needs:
Support for phenom II x4 (AM3)
2 pci-e 2.0 slots
and all around good build quality, with room for upgrades.

I would like to keep it in the <$200 range.

Any suggestions? What's your favorite brand?

Overclocking is not a necessary part, as I'm currently not into overclocking. But it would be nice to have that option open for the future.

Here are some good options for u.

    1- Gigabyte 890FXA-UD5
    2- ASUS M4A89TD PRO
    3- MSI 890FXA-GD70

Those are very solid and good mobos. Or for a little more u can get the ASUS Crosshair IV

  3. If I'm probably not going to do much overclocking, do these boards seem like a bit of overkill? Or would they still be good for me?
  4. What would be the advantage of having an 890fx vs. an 790fx?
  5. The 890FX ha native support for the X6, SATA III and USB 3.0, the 790FX doesn't have this features.

And with the 890FX u will have more future proof that with the 790FX.
  6. Okay cool. What about an 890GX? That's just less options for PCI-e slots right?
  7. Yeah, the 890GX is the little sister of the 890FX, with less PCI-E lines and some features.
  8. Alright - thanks for the info. :)
  9. Any time.
