Hey Guys,

Subject says it all. Looking for a solid mb that I can invest in to go along with a i7 930 purchase.

I will be putting this into my existing antec nine hundred case.

I have a gtx 480 and can see myself adding a second 480 later on, so I would need a mb to scale properly. I will never go triple SLI or Quad SLI.

I saw an article on here recommending the GA-X58A-UD3R

Concerns are that I have a Auzentech prelude for sound and would want to keep that (or had mb audio gotten that good that I don't need a dedicated sound card), so I'm trying to figure out if I can use the only pci slot and get away with 2x dual slot graphics cards.

I like the usb 3 and sata 3-6gbs features (can I currently buy 6gb SATA drives?). If it wasn't for that I'd go for an older mb...

thoughts? recommendations?

I just wanna make sure that everything fits in the case and works. Feel free to recommend RAM as well.

Thanks in advance.

why would you recommend the asus over the gigabyte?

Personal preference. Asus is, in my opinion, the best mobo manufacturer. Their mobos give you a bit more performance and stability. I'm pretty sure that you can reach more MHz (after OC) with the P6x58d-e.

Anyway, Gigabyte is a great choice too.
