Okay so I'm building a PC right now and EVERYTHING is installed EXCEPT for my OCZ Vertex 3 60GB.

I have the SATA III cable in, but for some very strange reason the SATA power cable doesn't seem to want to go in.

I doubt that it's just that I'm too weak, I was able to but the SATA power cable into the DVD drive, and the HDD.

What the heck is going on?

What is the brand and model of your power supply?

If you have a spare SATA power cable check to see if it will fit.

If you do not have a spare SATA power cable try a SATA power cable from your hard disk drive or dvd drive to see if it will at least fit.

That's a 4 pin molex cable. To properly power up your ssd you both will need this:

connected into the right slot of this

@Heaney you could try with another sata power cable from your psu, or try with the one in your DVD drive. DO NOT force the cable, it only fits in one way.

@ curiousgeorgi If your power supply doesn't have direct sata power connections, you'll need this adapter:

Got it eventually.

Currently typing from my new built :D

The trick was to take it out of the case before putting in the SATA power cable, because it DOES require a fair bit of force (not TOO much though).
