What's the family member going to use the computer for? Games, right? At what resolution? 5770 seems kinda weak.

Grab a 5850. It's like $130 more, but it won't suck.

The 5770 shouldnt suck on this screen size should it??? I've already got the 5770, it came today. Call of duty games will most likely be the only games played on it.

It will be a good card for most games and a grate card in xfire down the road. you will have to lower details and play in DX9 mode in crysis tho if you want 40 FPS
