New hard drive but I can't get any sound

put in a new hard drive now I don't have any sound coming out of my speakers can you help.

You must have done more than just put in a new hard drive. Reinstalled XP ?
You must reinstall the Audio Drivers for your computer model from the Manufacturer's Web Site.
