Hi,

All my shortcuts give this error message (this action is only valid for products that are currently installed).

I recently repaired XP using the repair installation function on the XP CD. all the accounts including the admin account had had all their programs uninstalled from the install/uninstall programs err program. But yet all the software remains in it's place on the system! How do I restore everything!?

If you did the repair install succesfully, your programs should be intact. There is always a rare case where something may go wrong. If the programs are missing from the control panel's add/remove software, then you will need to reinstall all your programs.

You didn't mention why you did a repair install. If it was due to a virus/malware, then your best bet would be a clean install, not a repair install.
