looking for some buying decisions currently i have 680sli mb e6400 ocd to 2.8 4gb dominator ram and a fried 8800gts sc vc. im looking to upgrade since this stuff is almost 3yrs old so i was thinking of the gtx 295 coop vc and a e8600 cpu . should i ditch the mb because its outdated to move up to a better cpu ? i only have about 1 grand to spend vc is 500 plus alone .any help would be greatly appreciated

1. What games do you play? What resolution?

2. GTX 295 is overkill for most of the people.

3. With $1k you can easily build a new PC around a i5 or Phenom II.

4. LGA775 is dead. Don't bother doing a major upgrade on such a build till prices drop significantly for the older tech (mid next year due to the new i3s,i5s,i9s and what ever AMD throws in).

rofl, 1grand to upgrade, my upgrade budget is usually 200 dollars at a time :P

1. i play mostly online games lotro aoc warhammer aion but play fps also crysis ,farcry,along that line. 2.just hoping it will get me a few more years without upgrading the whole system was also thinking of the q9650 thinking it would be better than what i have atm with a samsung t260.atm i have 226 bw 1620 x1040 nr ,t260 would get me 1920x 1200 worth it?
