is it possible that using two different operating systems (win 7 and ubuntu 11.04) can also create bad sectors on hard drive ??

i have never heard about 2 different operating systems creating bad sectors.

But some programs or viruses could create bad sectors or your drive must be damaged.

Use "HD Tune" or "CrystalDisk Info" to analyze your HDD. Different OS do not create bad sectors on the HDD.
