APPROXIMATE PURCHASE DATE: This week

SYSTEM USAGE FROM MOST TO LEAST IMPORTANT: gaming

PARTS NOT REQUIRED: keyboard/mouse/monitor/OS

PREFERRED WEBSITE(S) FOR PARTS: ive mostly been looking at newegg but only because i figured that was the best route

PARTS PREFERENCES: looking mainly at intel unless convinced otherwise

OVERCLOCKING: probably not in the first year, but in the future im sure ill get more and more interested

MONITOR RESOLUTION:1280X1080

Ive been lurking here for a few weeks reading around, and came up with this build. Im trying to see if everything looks alright, making sure i didnt miss anything, or choose a bad part.

looks good, but that case looks like a really bad rip off the antec 900 & 902, but it has 4 fans so it should be alright for air flow.

 

Also your ram is duel channel, you should be looking for triple channel ram.

Also, you didn't list whether you plan on crossfiring in the future...

Finally, you'll need to upgrade your monitor, I wouldn't even consider an 920/5850 at that resolution.

If you selected that case on the basis of the rebate, here's what one newegg reviewer had to say,
"Other Thoughts: Something I forgot to mention...The mesh on the front is REALLY REALLY hard to get out. You really have to bang it to get it out.
And be careful with the Mail in Rebate, it is only valid for 15 days..starting on the day YOU ORDER!. They include weekends, which is what got me."
