Can home and the fan for the radiator of my h50 was off. hw monitor showed 89 degrees. It could have sat there for 9 hours while I was at work today.

What kind of damage have I done? Have I reduced the OC capability of the chip? Shortened the lifespan significantly?

probably not. The cpu will self throttle itself at 100c. I wouldn't think it could actually hurt the chip in any way. Now if it ran at that temp for a year, I could see it affecting the life of surrounding components and increasing the chance of the chip dying before it's completely useless.

Now if it was past 95c, I would start to worry.

Yay! Thanks guys.

What a horrible feeling when I noticed what was going on. Brand new system that I've had for less than a week. I used the molex to fan adapter and there seems to be a bad connection in there, it comes off and on when I wiggle it.
