REALTEK HD AUDIO . PROBLEM WITH DIGITAL OUTPUT .

Helloo guys . Im using build in sound card Realtek HD audio. My motherboard is Gigabyte GA-P55M-UD2 . And im using Windows 7. So lets go with it !

My main problem is that i connect my speakers Logitech z5500 with the optical cable to the sound card and there is no sound . . . I can get the sound only by analog cables but for me is not enought satisfaction untill i cant get the DOLBY DIGITAL in the movies .

I checked the optical cable and everything with the cable is ok .

Also i tryed configure the Digital Output but its kinda impossible . Becouse the option " Configure " is blocked.

Please Pro members help me im in HUGE desperation now .

  1. update the drivers from realtek's site and see what happens there

also yeah select digital from the list in the realtek audio control pannel
  2. Leave it connected with the analogue cables.
Even you onboard codec is a better DAC than what the z5500 has.
You will still get the same 'Dolby Digital' in movies as this is only referring to a 5.1 encoding standard.
Regardless of the speakers or codec decoding it, you will still hear the same thing.
  3. Well guys i instaled the newest drivers and still the same , anyway i connected my speakers with coax cable and its working . But now the question is why spdif not working ?
