Woke up this morning to artifacts on boot up, yellow, and blue lines dissecting screen. Card seems to have overheated, I'll let it cool down, itll start up with no artifacts but second I run a game, it locks up. I've reinstalled drivers, etc. to no avail.
My question is this-
What card do you recommend to replace. I play many games, but my resolution is limited to 1440x990 right now. I might consider buying a new monitor in the future, but for now I am staying with the 19 inch. I was happy with the performance but I also want to buy smartly. I'm thinking of the 5770 for DX11, but the 4870 is cheaper and apparently faster. What do some of you suggest?
