Hey guy's I'm looking at motherboards for my new build and are having a hard time choosing.

My CPU- AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition Deneb 3.2GHz

Currently I'm thinking- http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

Is that a good motherboard or anyone have any suggestions to a motherboard. I just don't wanna buy a motherboard and have it slowing down my computer. Thanks.

Hi newcomer and welcome to the Tom's hardware forum.

It's a good mobo, but for ur CPU i suggest to u that go with a more better mobo (more expensive in other words)

This are some good options:

1- Gigabyte 890FXA-UD5
2- MSI 790FX-GD70
3- Gigabyte 790XTA-ud4
4- ASUS M4A79XTD EVO
5- ASUS M4A87TD EVO

Sweet looking motherboard and a good layout.. However, you can get a better chipset mobo for around the same pricing.. There are many mobos with 890GX/880G chipset which is more current and better performing and very much worth the little extra price they deamnd..
