Hey everyone :hello:
Soon to be setting up a watercooling loop, but I'm kind of stumped in relation to what fans to buy for my radiator :(  , preferably red LEDs..I was thinking, perhaps 3 Silverstone AP-121s in push and 3 Scythe GT AP15s in pull?

Any other suggestions?

a simple Google search will give the sought out answer. The SR1's are low FPI rads - so you will know where/what to look for when you're digging.
http://skinneelabs.com/hwlabs-sr1-360/
the 4th link on a google search

apart from scythe and silverstone - you have others like noctua, bitfenix, triebwerk by feser, sanaces, deltas...and a whole lot of other fans that are like leafblowers next to you.

LED+good rad fans don't fall in the same dept, though you could look at the triebwerk 123 high version. The are LOUD and have options to use led's of your choice.

4Ryan6 also did a roundup of fans and TIM's in his reviews, locate him and click on his sigs...there all there. Bundymania, Skinee have also made reviews/roundups on fans.

I actually had bitfenix spectre pros in mind..but their static pressure wasn't so great so I kinda just steered away..noctuas..not my colour
I've seen 4ryan6's fan review, I'll check out skineelabs though xP

the reviews help you decide, and ofc nothing beats a scythe AP/2000rpm fan on a fan controller

Already decided on 3 Scythe GT AP-15s, but later on I'm buying 3 more fans for push+pull and I'd like them to be preferably red LEDs..and yeah I'm buying a fan controller as well :p

As for headphones - look into a 5.1/7.1 headset with true drivers for each channel (unlike Logitech's virtualized stuff). The new Razer headset looks good, but I just can't buy a Razer product...

No, I have been pretty turned off to Razer products since both of my Razer mice failed on me within 30 mins (something wiped the firmware off the mice and it couldn't be restored). Out of the warranty period too. Switched to a Cyborg RAT 5 and can't believe I spent $80 on a Naga; I literally bought a well molded piece of plastic for easily more than 100% more than it cost to make it.

I couldn't trust the quality of their headset after owning a Roccat Kave, even though their new one has dedicated 7.1 channels. My Kaves use ultra-durable plastic and have metal hinges; you put it on and feel the quality. Only issue is that I can hear the missing channels that the Razer would provide.

hmm, now that you mentioned the build quality on them roccats, i might give them a try - kinda been put off of the headset segment sa they were highly debated about offering discrete 5.1/7.1 since they offered virtualized mixup.

i was watching a video of the led disabling jumper...and the nifty idea of adding more wire to disable without opening the case. is that it or is there more to it?

Well yeah, you can remove the jumper and that just powers off the LEDs, but you also get a cable that keeps the LEDs at full brightness the whole time so you can stick it to a fan controller and it won't affect the LEDs

The anti vibration screws are a pain in the butt to put on though..

neat idea...i've bought only one pro fan - @ 140mm and the other 120's are the one before the pros. still the scythes will be the only ones hooked upto fancontroller. the LED fans will be off the mobo.

Didn't know I needed a triple A battery for ANC on these headphones..but it's okay because I scavenged around the house and found one :D

The ANC really works, it's amazing :)

Son of a bi...
Guys, don't ask how, but I think I just short circuited my motherboard and now it just doesn't start up; Debug LEDs aren't showing up and the system just switches off within 3 seconds of turning it on..WHAT DO I DO? D;

Out of absolute pure stupidity; You know little the cable that you can connect to your motherboard to power the LEDs on the Spectre Pro right? For some unknown reason, I pulled out my cables for the "Power" "Reset" "Speaker" etc and decided to plug it there..By the time I realised that that wasn't the right place for it to go, *pop* spark and smoke came out and my computer shut down, practically instantaneously. I tried to turn it on again but the power button wasn't working, and the start button wasn't working either, although the lights for it and reset button and every other LED on the mother board were working fine, so I flick my power supply on and off and powers on my system for about 5 seconds then switches off, and I also noticed my debug LEDs weren't working..Tried the same thing 2-3 more times and got the same result every time..

I'm a [insert your own word here]-ing idiot.

On a side note, while I was contemplating on what to do, I thought about my watercooling setup and the cards I was going to put into it and now I'm kinda steering towards maybe a single card setup (GTX 680)..Ironic as hell because I can't even use any of my components now  :(

Though I may opt for an SLI instead of 680, prices here for them are ridiculous..Whilst on Newegg they're 500 bucks, they're practically 700 each here..

Yay, picked up my motherboard from the post office today. Put everything together and it's working great. Too bad I lost the original packaging in the process, sent it in with the original and got it back with a white box..Oh well, I guess that's only fair since I lied to them   I'm just happy I have my motherboard up and working again. Plus it's a new one :D
