HOW TO REPLACE BURNT DIODE OF hitachi 500 gb HARD DISK

Hello,
My hitachi 500 gb hard disk diode is burnt. How to repair or replace the burnt component. Also plz tell me that it is really a diode which is burnt and also what is its specification. I have a clear image of this burnt component

How to replace ...?

Very, very carefully. If you do not have the soldering equipment or experience, pay someone to do it for you. Of course, you need to make that person is qualified.

If you are pretty sure the diode is the problem, do what fz suggested: cut it in half, then if the drive works, backup the data before you try to have it repaierd.
